About my thesis - Cell-scale modelling for high-throughput screening

In my PhD project at ZHAW, I will work on developing cell-scale models of redox flow batteries that connect fundamental physics with practical performance. The idea is to capture the main processes:

  • electrochemical reactions
  • transport
  • ohmic losses

into a continuum framework that can be validated with experimental data. By collaborating with other doctoral candidates and experimental teams, I aim to create compact, predictive tools that help accelerate the design and screening of new materials and operating strategies for RFB technologies.
