About my thesis - Electron transfer kinetics on functionalised electrodes

My role in the PREDICTOR network is to develop theoretical models and computational methods to better describe the kinetics of the electron transfer reaction from the electrolytes to the electrodes in redox-flow batteries. This means that we will be able to predict how fast a battery with a specific chemistry would supply energy to the grid, which is a critical factor for the integration of renewable energy sources.
